Modern phone systems.
Traditional lines are ending.
The UK's PSTN and ISDN network switches off in January 2027 — every business needs to move to VoIP. WikiTech supplies and manages cloud phone systems for businesses across Kent and beyond, from £7.90 per user per month, with full hosted systems tailored to your size and setup.
Traditional phone lines are being switched off. Permanently.
The UK's Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) — the copper-wire infrastructure that has carried phone calls since the Victorian era — is reaching the end of its life. Openreach will switch it off completely in January 2027. That includes ISDN lines, analogue phone systems, and FTTC broadband connections that rely on the copper network.
After this date, PSTN and ISDN lines will stop working entirely. Businesses that haven't migrated will lose their phone service with no fallback.
Some providers are already stopping new orders on ISDN and traditional lines. The migration needs to happen now — not in December 2026.

What's being switched off?
All PSTN lines, ISDN2, ISDN30, analogue phone lines, and any broadband or phone service running over copper infrastructure.
Who does this affect?
Every business in the UK that uses a traditional phone line — including businesses on hosted VoIP that still use ISDN trunks to connect to the network. Also affects lift phones, alarms, and card payment terminals connected via analogue lines.
What do you need to do?
Migrate to a cloud-based VoIP phone system using SIP trunks or a hosted PBX. All calls are routed over your internet connection — no copper required. WikiTech handles the full migration.
Why act now?
Migrating a phone system takes time — number porting, system setup, user training. Leaving it late risks disruption. Businesses that move now also typically save money immediately on line rental and call costs.
Three platforms. One team to manage them all.
We don't push one system onto every client. We work with three leading cloud telephony platforms and recommend the right one based on your size, existing setup, and how your team works.
If your business already runs on Microsoft 365, Teams Voice adds external calling directly inside the Teams app — no separate phone system or additional apps required. Everything lives in your existing 365 environment: calls, chat, meetings, and files in one place.
- Call external numbers from within Microsoft Teams
- One app for calls, chat, meetings, and files
- Works on desktop, mobile, and browser
- No additional hardware needed
- Microsoft Partner supply of licences
- Presence sync across Teams and phone
3CX is a full-featured hosted business phone system — ideal for businesses that need more than basic calling. Auto-attendants, call queues, ring groups, call recording, web conferencing, and a mobile softphone app are all included as standard.
- Auto-attendant (IVR) and ring groups
- Call queues and recording
- Web conferencing included
- iOS and Android softphone app
- CRM integration (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Advanced certified engineers
- Cost-effective for larger teams
VoiceFlex Flow is a sophisticated cloud UCaaS platform supplied through our VoiceFlex reseller partnership. It combines hosted telephony with advanced call management, Teams integration, and deep CRM connectivity — in hours, not weeks.
- Full hosted PBX with ACD and IVR
- Native Microsoft Teams integration
- Skills-based call routing
- CRM integration (Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk)
- DIY admin portal — no engineer needed for changes
- Fixed mobile convergence — one number, any device
Everything a modern business phone system should do
All platforms we supply include the core features your business needs — and because everything runs in the cloud, adding users or changing your setup takes minutes, not days.
Softphone — no hardware needed
Make and receive calls from a desktop app, browser, or mobile phone. Your business number follows you wherever you are — no desk phone required to get started.
Hunt groups & ring groups
Route incoming calls to the right team or individual. Set up ring-all, sequential, or skills-based routing so calls are always answered by the right person.
Auto-attendant (IVR)
"Press 1 for sales, press 2 for support." Professional call menus that direct callers without needing a receptionist — available 24/7, configurable in minutes.
Call recording
Record calls for training, compliance, or dispute resolution. Recordings are stored securely in the cloud and accessible on demand.
Number porting
Keep your existing phone numbers. We manage the full porting process so your clients and contacts can always reach you on the same numbers they already have.
Remote & hybrid working
Open the app on your phone or laptop and you're in the office — same number, same extension, same features. No VPN, no forwarding, no missed calls.
Call reporting & analytics
See call volumes, wait times, missed calls, and team performance. Identify where calls are being lost and make informed decisions about staffing.
CRM integration
Connect your phone system to Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, and more. See caller information before you pick up and log calls automatically.
Voicemail to email
Voicemails delivered as audio files to your inbox so you never miss a message, even when you're away from your desk or out of signal.

VoiceFlex Flow is priced per user per month on a 12-month term, with calls included. Pick the tier that fits your team — and add features as you grow. Microsoft Teams Voice and 3CX are quoted on request.

Ask about discount pricing12-month rolling contracts. No lengthy lock-ins. You stay in control.
Traditional phone providers are notorious for locking businesses into lengthy contracts — sometimes as long as 8 years. We think that's wrong. Our telephony runs on a simple 12-month rolling contract, and every contract includes a 60-day exit clause. If you're not happy, you're free to leave. We're that confident in our service.
Because everything runs in the cloud, your phone system belongs to your business — not to us. Your numbers, your configuration, your system — it all comes with you if you ever move on. We deploy, we support, and we make ourselves worth staying with. Not impossible to leave.
Desk phones — for those who want them
All our platforms include softphone apps, so a physical desk phone isn't a requirement. But for staff who prefer a traditional handset, we supply and configure Yealink phones — one of the most widely used business phone brands in the UK.
Yealink SIP-T31
Reliable dual-line entry-level desk phone. Clear display, full HD audio, and PoE support. Ideal for general staff who make and receive straightforward calls.
Yealink SIP-T44U
Well-rounded office phone with a colour display, USB ports for headset connectivity, and up to 12 SIP accounts. A strong choice for office workers who use the phone regularly.
Yealink SIP-T88
Premium smart phone for senior staff and executives. Large touchscreen display, Android-based with app support, built-in Bluetooth and WiFi. Everything in one device.
All phones are pre-configured before delivery — plug in and it works. Pricing on request based on quantity.
How we cut a client's phone bill in half — and gave them their office back
Kent professional services firm: from £600/month on ISDN to under £200/month on VoIP
A 20-person professional services business in Kent had been on the same ISDN phone system for over a decade. The system worked — but it was expensive, inflexible, and tied entirely to the office. During and after the pandemic, staff working from home had to divert calls to personal mobiles, giving out personal numbers and missing calls when signal was poor.
Their monthly phone bill had crept up to over £600/month — line rental, call charges, and maintenance on ageing on-premise hardware. When their provider informed them the ISDN lines would be discontinued, they approached WikiTech to manage the migration.
We migrated them to a cloud-hosted VoIP system with SIP trunks, number porting for all existing numbers, and a softphone app for every staff member. The entire migration was completed without losing their phone numbers or experiencing any downtime.
Their monthly bill dropped to under £200. Every team member can now open an app on their mobile or laptop and work exactly as if they were in the office — same number, same extension, same features. No forwarding. No missed calls. No personal numbers given out.
